My homemade blade guides were slightly bigger than the ones from sawblade.com. the smallest were the ones from my 14" bandsaw, so that one is a winner there. that said, the homemade blade guides, and the ones from ted can take much wider blades than the ones from my 14" bandsaw or the sawblade.com ones.. Here you'll find the band saw plans: before that i'll start by putting these parts in the upper part of the saw. i make some rebates with the table saw so that i can lift the upper guide post all the way up, as well as a hole for a threaded rod which will allow me to lock the door. now i can screw it onto the saw.. Homemade bandsaw blade guides. finally an affordable double ball bearing guide for the delta 20” band saw models 28-340. it is easily and simply convertible to handle various blade widths, from 1/4” to 1/2” in the single bearing mode, and 5/8” to 1” in the double bearing mode..
