Ok, my wiring going to the furnace has 5 wires all are being used except the blue wire. i thought maybe i could use the blue wire to just make the fan come on for the first stage by wiring the blue to the green termial on the furnace panel, but i not sure if the thermostat has a different terminal on it between the 1st and 2nd stage to control the fan.. I have a ritetemp 8022c thermostat, down in the basement it hooks to an old (1974) newmac wood/oil combination furnace. only the blower will be used the burner is shot on it, i have a backup propane gun on the boiler..
